Unwrapping GIFTS !! :))

        This morning I was just asking myself, why do you still have to wrap the gifts ?

you buy fancy, colorful gift wrappers and even put designs while you wrap ..

I mean, they will just tear it off and throw it away anyway, so why bother wrapping it

up? and then I realized; the thrill and excitement in receiving a gift comes from the moment of unwrapping it and the surprise that comes along with it ..

Just like in life .. Our life itself is a gift .. A precious gift specially made by God .. waiting to be unwrapped :)

Our life is wrapped with different elements from the world ..

Money, fame, people and many other things alike ..

and sometimes we get soooooooooo fascinated and overwhelmed with the wrapper

that we forget that the real gift is inside .. waiting to be opened .. the real gift of life ..

Happiness, Contentment, Love and many more :)

     So don't let the tempting beauty and attractiveness of the fancy wrapper rob you off

from the true gift of God that awaits you .. Open your special present !!

Unwrap it with faith and see how beautiful it really is :))

Another Wake Up Call !!

 I discussed this with my Life Group and now I just wanna share it to you :))

WARM UP QUESTION : What’s the lamest excuse you ever gave just to get out of something ?

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ There is no excuse not to make God a priority, no matter how piled up our life could get. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ (sometimes when God tells us to do this and that, we give a lot of excuses. Especially wen He tells us “uy ! spend time naman tayo. Usap lang tayo saglet” every excuse we give is soooo lame kpag ganyan na ang usapan, kapag si God na ang kausap)

-we can sometimes be so pre-occupied by the things we have to do in this world, but no matter how busy life could be, finding time for God should never be the hardest thing to do. He didn’t wait for us to be a little better before He died for us, so neither should we wait till everything is polished and everything we have to do is done before spending time to worship Him. Yung quiet time mo with God, that's your special time with Him. BUT the thing is, IT’S UR CHOICE TO HAVE IT WITH HIM OR NOT ! and I admit, I get the same feeling somtimes (tinatamad) but when Im reminded that He pushed on through the worst, I snap into reality that we should push on as well without excuse. He has given us everything we need in this life to live excellently for Him. The least we could do is to give Him the time of day that He deserves. 

 Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ If someone would ask you if you are a Christian, would you say yes ?

Therefore, you should know the meaning behind that yes ! ano bang ibig sabihin ng pagiging Christian ?

The purpose of being branded as a Christians is not meant to impress, it's more than just an adjective or a name but rather it means to reflect God’s image in our lives, and how can we do that ? By getting to know Him more ! How ? By spending time with Him.

The term Christian means to be a follower of Christ. . (When you hear d word follower, what comes into your mind?) One of the essential characters of being a follower is being obedient.

Obedience, more than anything else is God’s love language.(1Sam 15:22) Finding time for God and enjoying Him moment by moment is obeying Him.

When I realized this, I made a decision to let go of all the excuses and start following Him. No matter what ! J

Ikaw ? what have you realized ? and what decision will you take ?

εїз Stay in College Life Forever εїз

      Life as a christian could be compared to one's college life. Where we learn, we fail, we pass and we conquer different challenges. Every season of our life is compared to every semester. It brings a mixture of emotions: a nostalgic feeling for the past season and great excitement for the upcoming one. And there are also different kinds of students, the ones that excel; the average ones; the ones that always fail because their not trying; and the ones that chose to fail because their tired of trying .. similarly there are Christians that continually mature in their faith; there are those who become stagnant in their faith and stays in their comfort zones; ones that neglect their faith; and there are those who give up and let go of their faith when hailstorms of struggles and challenges come.

     Every semester, there comes a time where we pass and we fail. Every time we pass without cheating, the feeling of victory is always there, we feel relieved and refreshed, same feeling we have every time we are victorious over temptations, and when we surpass difficult challenges. And during our failures, we are often discouraged, and sometimes feel hopeless. Same feeling we acquire when we fall into temptation .. when we sin .. when we let Evil reign in a certain situation. We end up being discouraged, down hearted and worthless, but just like how our friends and classmates cheer us up, our brothers and sisters in Christ are there to lift us up , encourage us and lead us back on track and just how our mentors and professors never gives up on us and give us second chances, God himself, also never gave up on us and is always there to give us thousands of chances to make things right and to make it up to our failures, He stays and teach us more and more things we have not come to know 

(John 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know"). 

     God will never give up on us, so why should we? besides, He'll be our strength .. with a God that strong and powerful, we can never lose any battle as long as we stay in his presence. With God on our side, we will never be in the losing end.
     We can stay in college life forever as long as we stay as a Christian forever :)) .. With God, the learning never ends :))

♥ More Than Just A Love Letter ♥

            (Isaiah 48:17) This is what the Lord says-your redeemer the holy one of Israel: "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go (Proverbs 23:18) There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

(Isaiah 43:8) Lead out those who have eyes but are blind; has ears but are deaf, (Matthew 23:5) everything they do is done for men to see but (2Corinthians 10:3-4) though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapon we fight with are not the weapons of the world, on the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds ! (Zechariah 8:13) I will save you and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid but let your hands be strong ! "

God's Presence Outnumbers a Multitude of Believers

     With the kind of work and schedule that I have .. I could say that the adjustment period was really the hardest part. With changing shift every week and a rotating day off I merely have the time to attend church gatherings, fellowships and even weekly services .. And as a christian, I know that it could cause one to fall back and backslide, as I've seen a lot times and heard from a lot of peoples testimonies .. they start backsliding when they spend less time with the church and more time with the world because it's during this time that they would be influenced to spend less time with God .. its under this situation that a christian tend to be stagnant and hindered from growing. Because it is during this time that you'd feel that your in a world where temptations and evil are all around you and you're weak and alone, you'll think that you'll have to fight the battle against temptation on your own . But think again !! You're not alone ! We were never alone ! Because GOD IS WITH US .. EVERY TIME, EVERYWHERE !! Stand firm in His presence and Be still under His guidance, Stick with Him, don't run away .. because He will not just fight with you ! He will fight for you !! His presence outnumbers a multitude of believers ! In times when the church is not there to help, God is surely there ! God is always there .. Depend on Him .. Run towards Him first .. seek Him first above anyone else for guidance and encouragement, the church is there to empower but the ultimate source of power is still God, it's always been Him.

ONE MORE CHANCE ?

As I watch the movie ONE MORE CHANCE, I picked some lines that touched me soo much and I've related to .. and now I just wanted to share it :)

→  Love is something that happens to everyone. In a certain point in our life we come to a situation where we love and get hurt .. say hi then goodbye .. say hello then let go .. Yes ! love and pain comes together .. we cant love without getting hurt in someways, and we can't get hurt without being in love to someone or to something .. So why not make the pain all worth it ?? How ? I guess by making decisions that will be for the better, and have the courage to face the consequences .. think things over, weigh your possibilities, know the pros and cons and after that decide and have the guts to take a leap of faith.

→ In this life, some things come and go, and just like what they say: when a door closes, God opens a window .. pag may nawala, meron nmng bagong dadating .. but well .. wala nmn perpektong relasyon at tao kaya kahit kanino kpa mapunta .. eventually masasaktan at masasaktan ka .. at aasa ka .. kaya dapat .. CHOOSE THE ONE THAT WILL BE WORTH ALL THE PAIN AND THE TEARS .. tama ?? .. ^^,

→  it takes two grown ups to make a relationship work .. cause sometimes our immaturity are the ones that pulls us down. and we need to get some space for ourselves .. sometimes we need time away from each others so God can have a space in our lives .. away from those that occupies God's position in our lives .. we can grow together but there should be enough space in between and let God stand in that gap .. let that space be provided for God .. we are like plants, while growing, we need space away from each other .. then eventually as we grow .. our leaves and branches will meet, touching each other .. there is a time for everything .. so don't rush things .. Good things are much enjoyed at the proper time .. ^^,

Ignoring those FLYERS ?? PAMPHLETS ?? LEAFLETS ??

I was on my way to somewhere when someone extended his hand to me, handing out some flyers .. and it somehow made me wonder how hard it is to give those out knowing that 70% of people you give it to will just ignore it ?? make fun of you and may think you or your product is a waste of time ?? and how uncomfortable is it to stand for hours may it be under the heat of the sun or inside a mall ?

Flyers or Fliers are also called Leaflets or Pamphlets or a Handbill .. but whatever name you'll call it .. it will still have the same meaning and purpose .. which is to relay information and provide awareness to the public.
It is a form of a community communication, a form of communication for people who wants to engage the public.


This event led me to a revelation: Spreading the word of God is like giving out flyers !  Think about this metaphor : We Christians are the promoters and we spread the word like giving out flyers, in a way that we stretch out our hands to reach out to people expecting that they would give us even a piece of their attention .. and where some would take what your giving, read it, understand it, accept your product and aim for more of it .. but also, some will read the contents then ignore it, or even ignore it without even reading or knowing what the contents are.

But the question is : Are you willing to go out in the field and give out flyers ?? are you willing to take the risk of standing out of your comfort zone and stand in the middle of the battle field to deliver important informations and awaken the crowd's awareness ??

It starts from your willingness to act that is followed by deeds that one's life is greatly changed .. Take that great step of faith and be amazed of where it would take you :)

The Heart of Valentines Day :)

hmmmm .. Valentines Day .. I've been thinking since yesterday:
what is it with valentines day that people
are showing love, expressing love, giving love, receiving love ..
Everything is just about love during valentines day ..
what is Valentines Day and how did it really started anyway ?
and sooo .. to end my queries about Valentines day ..
I searched the net for possible history and origin of this day ..
and I found out that, it is about St. Valentine, a Roman Christian back in ......
I forgot when :) ( ooopss :) haha ) .. its way before .. so anyway,
St. Valentine was known to be a martyr, who was sentenced to death
because of his failure to submit to worship the emperor .. He was first
locked in jail and was said to still share his faith and minister while in chains, with the
jailers and prisoners as his witnesses. And it was also said that one of the
prison guards there was a good man who adopted a blind girl. The prison guard
asked him if his God could help her daughter, and from there, Valentine prayed
for her and the girl was given sight. The guards and his whole household
believed in God and were baptized, according to some sources, they were 46.
When the emperor heard about what Valentine is doing, he was enraged and was vehement.
He was furious that he couldn't keep Valentine from sharing his faith, thus, he ordered
for him to be sentenced to death. And on the night before Valentine was to
be executed, he wrote a note to the guard's daughter saying "From your Valentine".
And today, Valentines Day is known for giving out cards and gifts, which already became a tradition for some. But certainly it is something more than that ! It's about giving our life for our love ones, out of love.


I got soooo much for an answer to my question, "What is Valentines Day?"

"It's about the true love that compelled a young Christian to give up his life rather than stop sharing his faith."

During Valentines day almost all of us wants to hear the words "Be my Valentine",
because it simply means that you are loved. But more than asking for our needs and wants to be met, let us be a servant to those we love on Valentines Day and let everyday be Valentines Day !! :).


And as for our satisfaction on hearing the words "Be my Valentine", well, God is telling that to you .. EVERYDAY .. just take time to lend an ear to listen to him .. 


and so .. Will you be God's Valentine ? :)

holla !! hehe .. it's my first blog of the year :) yey !!
and i'ma talk about CANDIES :) haha ..
c'mon lets get it started ..

as a kid (well actually until now) I love candies ..
especially the sweet and sour ones ..
and Aji Ichiban and Candy Corner is my favorite
candy shop :) .. yum yum yum hmmmm .. :D
i really love it !! my comfort food for all time !! and I actually would end
up being sooooo selfish to keep it ONLY for MYSELF .. NO ONE ELSE but ME !! and there is this one time that my mom brought home Aji Ichiban Candies for me and told me to share with my brother and of course being the selfish me .. I didn't share it (meany me !!) .. I kept it for myself and i hid it but
unfortunately my other brother saw and to my horror .. ate it ALL !! nothing left for me :( ..
                              → You might be thinking .. "buti nga !!" hahaha
But anyway .. the revelation comes like this →  sometimes we are being greedy
also when it comes to sharing the word of God .. God's word is also like
candies .. there are sweet ones, bitter ones and sour ones and we need
it from time to time to give spice to our dull and unsavored life .. and it is also the
comfort food for all time for our deserted and desolated souls .. and
having it or finding it turns us selfish sometimes, not wanting to share it at all,
even with the ones we love the most .. and there it is .. just hidden in our hearts
waiting to rot .. and sometimes circumstances come and take it away from us
leaving us nothing to consume ..

Now .. are you going to share it ?? or just leave it alone for yourself to rot ??
hmmm .. It will be YOUR CHOICE .. and just an advice .. MAKE A GOOD ONE !!
